Preparations

Unlike pure vanilla extract, Durkee Imitation Double Strength Vanilla Flavor is very heat stable. Since it will not dissipate, add at the beginning of the cooking or baking process. Substitute Durkee Imitation Double Strength Vanilla Flavor for pure vanilla extract in baked goods and desserts. “Double Strength” applies to its superior vanilla flavor not the quantity to be used.
