Thick and Spicy Chili Recipe

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1 cup green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cup celery, diced
- 2 tsp Durkee® Garlic, Minced
- 2 lb ground beef or ground venison
- 1 lb pork, ground
- 50 oz tomato sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 cup water
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup Durkee® Chili Powder, Dark
- 1 tsp Durkee® Cayenne Pepper
- 2 tsp Durkee® Red Pepper, Crushed
- 1/2 tsp Durkee® Celery Seed
- 1 tsp Durkee® Black Pepper, Regular Grind
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 lb kidney beans, drained
- 2 tbsp Durkee® Chili Powder, Dark
Directions
- Melt butter in large stockpot. Add onions, green pepper, celery and garlic. Sauté until tender but not brown. Add beef and pork. Stir occasionally until meat is cooked through and no pink remains.

Add remaining ingredients except for beans. Mix well. Simmer at least 2 hours. Add kidney beans; heat for 10 minutes.
